Missed out on curbside find.

Yesterday I am on my way home. I was on my tribars, head down pushing kind of hard when out of the corner of my eye I see an old bike laying on it's side. As I ride past it.

In the quick glimpse I noticed just a few things.

It's complete-good

Has quick disconnect rims-good

Says Peugeot- good or at least potentially good.

It has center pulls-i think this dates it as at least 30 years old, but, i could be wrong.

So, I blow a U turn, go back and stop for a better look.

It has aluminum riims, good tires with air. Think is might have been suntour components, but unsure. It did not have a lug frame which leads me to believe it was a very low end Peugeot. I read the sticker on the frame, quickly. Said something about carbon steel, i think, but, i could be wrong.

Anyway, I was tempted to call the wife to bring the minivan over to haul it away, but, i said screw it. I'll take my pickup to work in the morning. If it's there, I'll snag it.

It wasn't.

Did I eff up? Is it possible this thing was actually worth something? I was gonna bring it home, clean it up and give it to my 12 year old son.

Wish I had given it a better look.
