Bikes: BMC Pro Machine SLC01, Specialized Globe, Burley Rock 'N Roll tandem, Calfee Dragonfly tandem.

A 19th Century cartoon in Punch. Bicycles in general and tandems in particular were apparently representative of The Future.

The stoker's-not-working joke apparently goes way back.
