Its not SUPER flat. I'll still need a climbing gear. Currently I hardly EVER use the granny gear (small ring on triple). Getting in and out of the middle ring is a giant hassle. Sometimes I just give up and get into the granny gear when the big ring is too big. Because of all this nonsense, being in the proper gear to maintain a steady cadence is way more of a hassle than it should be.
