That amount of mileage should only be done on a bike that fits properly. Most rental shops don't spend much time fitting. They get your cc and send you on your way.
Additionally, if you do that, make sure you see about getting a reservation as I'm sure other people have the same idea.

Exactly what I was thinking. You're asking for some joint pain if you don't at least take some time to get accustomed to the bike.
