I can't find many comparison reviews between the current model years. Lots for '09 models but that doesn't really help me. I've ridden a lot of bikes, and I know you guys have already helped me a lot, but I'm really having trouble choosing between these two as they both feel incredible. I think I like the BMC more, but I'm not familiar with the brand. They are the same price, and the BMC won 2nd place in Bicycling magazine's editors choice this past issue for "enthusiast cycles."

To me:

BMC - super fast in a straight. Speed seemed effortless, and sprinting out of the saddle was super responsive. The frame felt stiff and a little rough, but I sort of enjoy that feeling. I feel connected with the road. Cruising while seated was almost like the bike was an extension of me. Very very comfortable.

Specialized - Didn't feel as comfortable or as fast, but still was great in a sprint. Handled like nothing else. The effort it took to take a sharp corner at high speeds was minimal. I felt at home on this bike, but it didn't sing to me like the BMC, nor did it feel as fast. Handling though, was far superior in my mind.

So, what does this forum think? What do the experts think? Does anyone have links? opinions of their own?
