It's a valid recommendation. Unless I'm supposed to recommend a different bike just so I can stop saying "Kilo TT"? It's my opinion that the Kilo TT really is the best bang for the buck under $400 and/or for beginners to the fixed gear side of things.

That bike is cool and I want one too. I personally think steel is the best for commuting and locking up, but the Motobecane Team Track has a lot of nice parts and is definitely a good buy for $800. A couple forum members ride/used to ride that bike, too.
