Bikes: none right now

a circle and an exclamation point

undefinedMy first bicycle adventure was a circle around my known universe when I was about 5. I'm sure I went beyond my parent's opinion of my appropriate tether, but it didn't occur to me that I should let them in on it, before or after, so I fortunately got away with it.

My next discovery was in college my sophomore year. One of those all-night discussions happened and someone mentioned that he was planning a trip of 200 miles over a weekend, by bike. I was dumbfounded. He assured me that a bicycle was capable of such a "feat." I guess either I had never heard of competitive cycling or I put that in a class for super men and not relevant to anything I might do.

Then, (as the man at the blackboard says...) A MIRACLE OCCURS.

For the rest of the story, necessarily abridged as it is a long one, rejoin me at my already planted thread "legend" on the "General Cycling Discussion" forum.
