Michelin Pro Optimum tires
I've had these on my bike since March, so I've put probably 1,000 miles on them - enough time for some quick impressions.
First, they are on the large size for 25's - at least compared to the GP4000s and Open Corsas I've also used. I didn't measure them, but these are close to as large as I can go with my frame.
Ride - About what you'd expect. Not as supple as the Open Corsas, probably a little stiffer riding than the GP4000 too (although I had those on a couple of years back, so I'm relying on my often faulty memory for that comparison). The Michelins have a relatively low max. pressure of 115psi (the Open Corsas were rated to 130), but I never use the max. rated pressure anyway. I find 100f/105r works out for me (and I'm not small - I weigh about 220). That's about 10psi below what I ran the Open Corsas at.
Rolling resistance - seems fine. i can't notice a difference between these and the Open Corsas that were on the bike before.
Traction - hasn't been an issue in high speed descents or hard braking in wet conditions. I haven't found their limits, and don't expect to unless I need to avoid a problem. That's in contrast to the Krylion Carbons, which used to scare me on descents on cold, damp days - in this respect the Optimum Pros seem to be an improvement, and probably are close to the GP4000's.
Flat resistance - probably about equal to the old Krylion Carbons. I have gotten one flat on the front when a piece of glass worked it's way through the rubber and the plies. Don't expect perfect flat resistance, but it does seem better than more race oriented tires.
Durability - it's still early for a final evaluation on this, but they will definitely outlast the Open Corsas - I got less than 1500 miles out of the rear tire with those, and the rear of the Michelins is just starting to square off. I think I'll probably get what I used to get out of the Krylion Carbons - around 3,000 miles out of the rear tire.
The front is a softer compound and is supposed to wear out at the same time as the rear - that remains to be seen.
Overall a good set of tires. Worth the premium price point? I don't think they're a spectacular value, but they do seem to be fairly priced relative to tires like the GP4000 and the Krylion Carbons.
