You will need a 1" steerer, and most likely it will be threadless. You will need a threadless headset with spacers and will have the tube cut to your desired setting when it's installed.

An alternative is if your LBS or a local builder can thread your stem, thus allowing the use of a traditional headset and ditching the somewhat hideous threadless option.
