Haha--I figured it out after posting that, when I noticed "Eric Bostrom" finishing just a few minutes after him on the next page.

Even though I finished nearly an hour after those guys, I still felt pretty good looking around at the finish line up top--felt like one lone bulldog in a pack of greyhounds. And I can't believe the guy behind me finished a full 1:20 after me--we were neck&neck to the end of the final steep spot! He must have come apart in the final 500 yards in the ski-lift parking lot.
