I lay out the various items for my wife & myself the night before. All the bottles are stored in one drawer. I write on the top of each cap with a sharpie pen the initials of the person who gets a particular vitamin or med and the quantity they get. E.g.; "D,M" means "dad" and "mom" each get one. "Dx2, D-2, or D2"means "dad" gets 2 of that one. I count the number of bottles/pills and compare to what's in the cup while putting away the bottles as a checksum. Mistakes mean tossing most of the vitamins as the color/size/shapes are not always unique (fortunately anything prescription usually is unique). Write appropriate ID to the cup if your household cannot be trusted to recognize who's is who's. (I put mine next to the coffee pot, since I am up 1st and am the major coffee drinker, it works for me). If your household has overlapping initials, use a fine tip sharpie and write small
