Watched it live. Medical was there right away. They were doing CPR and had already hit him with adrenaline within a few minutes of him going down. The hour was time to the hospital. It's as likely as not he died on impact.

We like to do the "what if" on accidents like this but it's not a lot more than whistling in a cemetery and convincing ourselves it can't/won't happen to us.
