Sure, but its absurd to give looks priority over fit and function. Its remarkably easy to have a nice looking bike without insisting on obsolete technologies or obsessing over the appearance of minor parts (such as stems and headsets) that have very little influence on the overall appearance of the bike.

The OP asked a question and I provided what I think is the most reasonable answer. You are free to disagree, of course, and the OP is free to do what he wants with his bike.
