First very hot commute home today. It was also the first 90 degree day, with a heat index of 95. Thankfully there was a breeze. Even with the heat it was a nice ride. I conquered half of my nemesis hill today, which is an improvement. This is a very terrible hill, because someone thought it was a good idea to stick a 4-way stop halfway up this hill. It is a pretty busy intersection, next to a regional hospital, so you can't just slow through the stop.

At another intersection I was 2nd in a line of vehicles waiting for a green light. Right as the light changes I see and hear a fire engine coming as does the rest of the line behind me except for the lady right behind me. She is busy on the cell phone and tries to swing around me annoyed, I give her a look and at the same time she hears the fire truck and slams on the brakes. I swear, drivers and cell phones!
