Yes, they did. But Mark Knofler is a consistent performer and a great guitarist. I have two CD's that I play the hell out of: Mark Knopler and Chet Atkins - "Neck and Neck", and a recording of Dire Straights playing at Albert Hall with Eric Clapton standing in for an absent band member.

BTW - any Delbert McClinton or Roy Buchanan fans in the house? Roy's "Livestock" LP rocks the house.
