Also, guess who has lost 12lbs since he started cycling?

I'd have to lose too much muscle to be in the not-too-fat for this sport category, but 185 is what I weighed at the very peak of my physical and athletic physique. 9 more lbs. 195 WAS my goal but apparently I have lost more muscle than I realized in the past 5 years because I don't look great still.

Anyway, thought I'd share. It feels good to hit milestones.
Right on. I would love to visit you one day. Also a lot of this has to do with your body type, and what kind of riding you do. Some people just ride to enjoy the outdoors, and have fun. That's fine if that's what your into. I think Gomer probably falls into this category. Some of the people I ride with fall into that category as well. Ever since I first got on a bicycle, I always wanted to go faster. So when I started riding road bikes, I was hooked, and that's all I wanted to do. The weight started coming off instantly. I was usually around 170 or so before cycling, but then I became a lazy salesman for awhile, and got up in the 180s. I am 5'10" and as of this morning 153lbs. If I was taller obviously I would weigh more. Some top sprinters are bigger fellows, and up around your weight. I think Thor Hushovd for example is 6'1" 175lbs or something like that. One of the guys I raced against this weekend had to be over 200lbs, but he sure moved it around well. I had to go around him in the final sprint, and it was no easy chore. Congrats on the milestone BTW. Good job!
