I'm looking at using him. He's local to me and that's a factor in my decision making process. I would be buying the frame through the shop that measured me who would also build the bike.

$2000 would get me a True Temper OX bike, carbon fork, full 105 and good wheels.

I know there are others out there that are in your price range. Another local to me -- waltworks.com -- is very affordable, but he's "only" built 15 or so roadies. His specialty is 29ers.
