There is a huge monument at the top. All you could see was the base (where the bike pic was taken) when you were 50' away. A cold drippy mist. Getting too hot while climbing was not a problem. Luckily I had a jacket and arm warmers for the way down.
I did start to enjoy the ride down and almost didn't make the first hair pin turn, If I had not noticed the skid marks on the road and grabbed the brakes I might have been over the side. From that point on I kept my mind on the descent.
