48/38/28 Biopace chainrings and SRAM 850 11-28t 8sp cassette on the touring (soon to be multi-purpose) rig. Early Deore (second generation?) derailleurs. Dia Compe Silver bar ends. SRAM PC-870 chain. I like VO or Jagwire housing and cables. 700C x 35mm tires. I could easily replace the cassette with an 11-30 or 32t cassette if I decide I need it.







I'm currently building up my faster ride bike with a 48/33 double and 13-28t 7sp freewheel. Huret Jubilee front and long-cage rear derailleurs. Simplex Retrofriction shifters (front on a DT clamp, the rear converted to a bar end). SRAM PC-870 chain. 700C x 29mm tires.
