Make sure that your law card has actual law codes on it so the officer or anyone else can look these up.
I would suggest carrying a printed version of the complete laws. With just the code in hand, the cop is likely to only look in their ready reference book, which just contain a brief and incomplete summary of the law. This is likely how many cops obtain their severe misunderstanding of cycling laws. Imagine a cop looking up the FRAP law and not having any of the exceptions included in his reference.
