Yup. My 2009 Cannondale CAAD9 came stock with Tiagra (nine speed), with a standard (53/39) crankset. I switched it out for a Tiagra compact (50/34) crankset. It's got a standard bottom bracket, so you can get one for yours too. Ebay is the place to look for a cheap one - lots of folks have switched out nine speed setups for ten speeds ones. (I did too.) You might want to check with your LBS - they might have a used one laying around they'd love to get rid of. Also, a ten speed would kinda work, but would be more expensive anyway.
