For a second, "fun" bike, I'd say get one from Bikesdirect for your best bang for the buck.

Mercier TT Chrome? It has a flip flop hub so you can go Fixed on one side, Freewheel on the other.

Only available in the larger frame sizes, but this would be a sweet ride. 5 speed IGH.

Between the two you originally posted, I'd go with the Masi, though either bike would be great.
