Really, many drivers would benefit from this too -- the good drivers, anyways.

I imagine that this will become commonplace soon, since the gear has already become affordable and convenient. I imagine that in most cases, at least at first, it'll be stealthy, so people won't know there's video available unless the owner of said video wants it to become available. (Because nobody wants their video to be used against them.)

I could totally see video recording devices becoming mandatory for cars at some point in the future -- either by law, or by insurance companies offering big discounts to those who have them.
