Another 26er vs 29er Thread

Yep, like I said before I'm new over here and to the MTB Sport.

It's funny to me all this 26 vs 29 opinions cause in Surfing the sport I've done the last 23 years it's happening a similar thing. In surfing there is a strong trend of Quad boards(4 fins) vs the standard Thruster boards (3 fins).

Nowadays when a customer enetrs a surfshop interested in buying a surfboard the sales persons is very agressive trying to sell the Quads. Similar to what happend to me on Bikeshops 3 months ago when I was shopping around for my bike, every shop started always offering 29ers.

At the end of the day Quads vs Thrusters is a preference. My quiver of surfboards is composed of 7 boards 2 of them are Quads. I used my quads when waves are small because they are faster and when the waves get choppy they work well too. When waves get heavy I used my Thrusters. But this is my preference, lots of people use quads in heavy waves.

I eneded up buying a 29er, never had the oportunity to compare vs a 26er but I cant't complain about it. I like my GF Marlin 29er.

excuse my bad english...
