You appear to have a better quality fork on your bike and having a lockout is a wonderful thing but for a hybrid with relaxed geometry a rigid fork and slightly plusher tyres accomplished the same thing.

The Cannondale headshok is also a nice unit aside from the fact it is a proprietary design that can only be serviced by Cannondale.

If you have the right skills you can ride anywhere without suspension and can see why a suspension on an extrabike would not be optimal... if you do off road riding a suspension can be a good thing but on normal roads it is usually overkill.
