My handbuilts are Mavic CXP33 rims on 105 hubs and 36 Double butted spokes laced with a 2x cross. The hubs are an older set and are a bit lighter than the current ones and I will have to check the weight. I know they are less than 1800 grms but they cost a lot less than the Krysiums I was offered. The Standard for handbuilts is Open Pro rims on Ultegra Hubs but my wheel builder at the LBS has some unusual ideas occasionally that work. I did manage to have a look at his Bike on sunday and he was using a Fixie in the Time Trial. CXP33 rims with 36 spokes but no idea what hubs so he uses what he sells so if he had confidence- so do I.
