thanks for the tips guys. well i havent ridden bike since i was about 14 years old, and im now 26 years old. i remember the longest trip was probably like 30-40 miles when i was a kid and that was really long. i have ridden this GMC for the past week about 3-4 days, and i have 35 miles on it already. 10 miles a day is still a lot for me, but i can feel it getting easier already. i started out on my dad's hybrid bicycle made by Fuji. that thing is pretty nice, it has quick shifters, etc. he paid like 4x what i paid. getting on that bike after riding the road bicycle, is pretty wierd. i am used to the road bike now, and i really like it a lot better. it's so much more aerodynamic and faster. but anyways, the main reason i wanted to get my own bicycle was to lose weight. now i dont need to lose a lot, but i like staying in shape. i weigh about 175 and i am about 5'11". even though that is the normal weight, it's a bid on the high end of the normal. i want to get back down to 160 or 155 if i could. then i can fit back into my 32 pants instead of my 34 size. even if it takes me a year it doesn't matter, a year goes by way too fast. what is the average weight loss per week for my weight, it's something like 1 lbs a week right?
