The worst part is that these are the people who self-identify as such excellent drivers that they never even have near misses, because they're completely oblivious to all of the people that have to dodge them all the time.

In reality, if you don't think you've had a near miss in the last couple hours you spent on the road, you're just not paying attention. Think about it; if it were really possible to be such a good driver that even other people's bad driving can't endanger you, stationary objects would never be hit and trains would require major screwups on the train operator's part to ever hit a car.
