I don't think ther were intended for actual track use.

you never saw the older flat or staight lever? that is an older design, I thnk the curved ones are post some CPSC ruling.

if they were rare track hubs with a QR he should have sold the hubs complete. a HF track hub would bring quite a penny. I wish I knew where he got the axle but I did turn a track hub into a road hub once for a customer.

*edit* a bit of research turned up a reference to the Record 1036 track hubs coming in a QR version. however I do stand by the idea that they likely were never intended or allowed to be used on the track

I also think the seller is a an idiot and bit underhanded. it may have been just electrons passing oddly in the night but I got a second chance offer before the bidding ended on a an item
