I discovered this week that riding in sight-seeing mode has consequences. I was riding through a nice residential area on my route and took my eyes off the road for a moment to admire a particularly handsome house...and promptly rode over the raised edge of a manhole cover. Thought I'd lost the fillings in my teeth! I deserved that, tsk!
