I consider myself a flipper and as such, probably a guy some of you "love to hate" - but I've never sold a bike without putting my heart into it (as well as a substantial amount of my time and money).
In the appraisal forum we were kicking around terminology to distinguish one type of flipper from another:
1) DKO Flipper - a term coined first by Thrifty Bill, to describe the flipper who simply "knocks the dirt off" before selling (IF even that!)
2) PKO Flipper - one who simply "knocks the parts off" and sells them.
3) a Rehab-Flipper - the term that I use most often in association with the bikes I sell and keep. (Most of my keepers were once flipper bikes that failed to sell quickly enough and made themselves at home!)
My point is - you you can't paint every flipper with the same broad brush.
