I tried to search, but didnt come up with anything specific...

I realize this is a very general area...but I dont even know what names for bikes to look at....

I currently weight 255 and I am trying to get to 220lbs. So I need a bike for a heavier guy.. Or maybe features to look out for a heavy guy. Who knows, I may go lower on the weight if all goes well.

I am currently riding a Trek single track 950 with roadish tires on them. Its nice, but would like more gear options and a road bike.

Thank you for any help or suggestions. I will research your suggestions and go for a test drive at my local shops, but I am anal retentive about what I buy when its over $100 (drives my wife nuts)
