I do think that Ottawa is a very nice city to commute. Lots of MUP, bike lanes and the roads are in somehow good shape. I love my commute but there are just some moments that I wish I can throw my u-lock on someone windshied just to make my point instead of shaking my head.

This morning I was rolling in the downtown area. It was a one way street with 3 lanes and one bus/taxi lane. As I was approaching the intersection to turn right (about 100 meters away on the right lane) I put my hand up to signal and slowly commence to cross the bus/taxi lane to make my turn. Somehow the bus driver decide that he should be going first after being fully stop and start accelerating. As I was at least 2-3 meters in fromt of him and already half way in the lane, I decide to keep going and make my turn. The bus had to slow down and let me go almost hitting my rear wheel and of course, honk at me.

aahhh. The joy of cycling.. but with a nice day like today, that moment of frustration just vanish after few more pedal stroke.
