The off season training did use fixies on the road , a friend had a British Frameset
it had mudguard eyelets drilled in a special made rear facing dropout.
The steel sheet outline was made to have the hole drilled,
(rather than brazed on the edge of the regular track dropout).
[so lots were sold, justifying tooling up to make numbers of the dropout piece.]
I suppose a set of hubs with QR skewers would be useful on those wheels.
Don't think they would hold the wheel tight enough
for the kind of acceleration for a Match Sprint.
those racers can leg press small cars, .. strong muscles.
