Training for a charity ride - do I have enough time??
giving some though to doing the CowaLUNGa here in chicago... only the one day event though... its 65 miles from Gurnee, IL to Lake Geneva, WI... seeing that I'm ~just~ getting going, is that distance pushing my abilities as a goal?? the date is August 6th... is my time a bit to short for this??? should I consider waiting until next year to do it?? what kind of training regimen would I need for something of this distance?? my current condition is not so hot and I'm a fair bit over weight, 6-1 about 215-220, 42yr old...
