cheap. My grandparents lived through the depression, so they had a reason to watch every penny. These days, the onus is on the consumer to do their research and actually live up to the word shop (as in
shopping). Compare prices and buy where you are most comfortable.
As someone in the previous 'haggling' thread so eloquently put it, a bike shop is not a garage sale.
I see. You must not be aware of our country's current economic situation. News flash- It's hard out there bro. I make a decent salary, but I'm still squeezed just to maintain a decent life for myself and my girlfriend. Honestly, it's impossible for those with minimum wage jobs to support anything other than their car's gas tank. I am very fortunate to have only a little debt as a recent college grad and the income to afford a $4k bike, but I still know how close I am to having absolutely nothing and being thrown out of my apartment- a couple paychecks. Times
are tough no matter how you view it.
The way I see it, it's just as someone else already described. It's either food off their plate or mine. No contest.
