Another delurking commuter intro (WA rider)
Hello,
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I have been lurking around here for some time now. I have been riding bicycles all my life and had switched to commuting by bicycle for a few years now. I live in Washington, USA.
My commute is 32 miles round trip, 6 miles on urban streets and the remaining 10 miles are on the Burke-Gilman Trail. I commute by bike year round now. My commute is the best part of my day. Due to my constantly changing work shift, I am usually on the trail between 4AM and 6 AM. Along the way I have been lucky enough to see eagles, raccoons, deer, owls, coyotes, possum and of course those suicidal rabbits.
I picked HoppersOfBunnies as I have had many close calls with little rabbits running out in front of my tire. So far I have managed to avoid running into one. I will keep my fingers crossed that I never do. SnailDodger was another name that I thought would be funny. I am sure the other commuters here who use the Burke-G trail know what I am talking about.
I have found lots of useful information here and I hope I can contribute some of the knowledge I have gained in my riding to help others who are commuting or are starting out commuting as well.
Best regards,
Chris
