We get tandems on fast local group rides like Nyack and Park Ridge. It's never a problem. Anybody who would yell @ a tandem over something like that really is a complete and utter imbecile. That's pretty dumb. I'm always impressed with any tandem that can hold its own in a 25 mph+ pace line.
