Up a hill maybe - but on flats they have an advantage and on downhills it isn't even a comparison. I've ridden the PMC with a couple on a tandem. Now they are very fit -- could easily hold their own on their own bikes -- but put the two of them on a tandem and it is as hard as moto-pacing on the pistes.
