Cycling is supposed to be fun. That's why I only cycle with friends I know well.

When it becomes competitive with people you hardly know then the fun goes out the door because everyone is just trying to out do the other. May as well go racing! If that's what you like to do then more power to you. I've found that half the roadies I encounter have a holier-than-though attitude that I just can't stand.
