lucky for you that the fork has been replaced (or never had the "death fork") but that doesn't look like the Yamaha (maybe supplied by Panasonic?) since it has a lamp bracket. Also they may have got a conventional spindle into the BB in order to fit the Maxy crank, which would be a good thing if they did it well...bad thing if they just jammed the Maxy onto the non-tapered original spindle.
BTW, you might find the shifting improves a bit if you slide the rear wheel forward (a little) in the rear dropouts.
