I'll probably be doing communications again this year, and I'm thinking I might borrow a bike-portable radio setup and ride drag for the 26-mile route.

I wonder how much gas actually gets burned for these races, considering that the SAG vehicles are all 3/4 ton or larger trucks, and the REACT guys that usually ride drag are on big touring motorcycles. Seems to me that some subcompacts with good racks would be a much better SAG choice, and 125cc or even smaller bikes for drag riders.
