Kinda "OT" but what does "nested" mean when you refer to the B pantographs?

I have, what I think is, an 1987 Bertoni Italimerica - based on a catalog link provided by a BF member - maybe it was you? If so, thanks! My Bert definitely has B pantographs - was just curious what "nested" means. Thanks!
