Well, the shop says they are just going to replace the nipple and that that's it. The mechanic said the sopke is fine. I'm done dealing with these clowns. I went in to a new shop in town that is owned by the guy who sold me the a Felt back in January. Just opened up his own shop about 5 miles from my house. Very cool guy. I went in and talked to him. He's going to contact the local Giant rep personally for me and see what he can work out. He used to manage the local Bicycle Warehouse, which sells Giants (not the same place where I got my Giant). He thinks he can work something out. In the mean time he's going to price some Mavic and Easton wheels for me. I'm done working with this shop in Oceanside.
