This was a first for me in rebuilding a wheel on the side of the road, all was almost lost when I dropped it in the pea gravel (never do that, hard, very hard to find). After getting it back together my build wasn't right, for about 10 km down the road it was loose again. This time I torqued the spokes and field trued the wheel, it wasn't perfect but was more than good enough to complete the ride (17,000' of climbing).

So if you must ***** out the shop, its a free country. But its not the end of the world and can be more than repaired to last.
It's not the end of the world, but it's a brand new bike that's been to the shop three times for the same problem and the shop is essentially doing nothing about it. If I was the shop owner, after the first time I would have replaced the nipple and checked all the spokes. After the second time I would have replaced the nipple and spoke and re-trued the whole wheel. After the third time I would have replaced the whole wheel with a brand new one and sent the bad wheel back to Giant. In order to keep a paying customer, I might even offer to buy the bad wheel back and offer a discount on any set of aftermarket wheels.
