So, I've got an '81 Centurion Super Tour 15 basket case, as shown. Picked up new(er) 700c wheels with Suntour Superbe pro hubs. Here is a before photo.
I don't like the blue. Considering the new wheels have greyish rims, I'm trying to decide on what color to paint it. (paint is off, need to prep the steel and primer it tonight).
Finding color combinations that are
- interesting
- go with the silver components
- and kinda traditional for touring bike
has been tough. I'd love to hear some suggestions. I was thinking of an orange tube/cream lug design (ala creamsicle), but it might pop a little too much.
I've also built jpgs of the Centurion and Super Tour 15 and have a buddy cutting vinyl masks for me, so the contrasting color is important for the logos.
Note, I have no ideas of this being collectable or anything like that, I'm just having some fun, and just want another ride alongside my Rodriguez.
