yeah, i picked it up this morning. first impressions: the small size was definitely the right way to go for me (i wouldn't want my head tube any taller at all). the handlebars are stupid wide, they will not be on the bike for long. i'm likely gonna need a longer, more downward sloping stem, and the steerer tube is definitely gonna have to get chopped down at some point. i need the stem slammed all the way down on the headset to get the type of forward fit i'm looking for.

i'll try to get pics of it up soon, but i've got some tinkering to do in the meantime. i'm planning to get out and roll about 140 miles on it this weekend to see what i like and don't like.

if i can find some MTB diameter bullhorns (rare, but they're out there i've learned) i think i'm gonna stay with the hydraulic levers on the flats and see how that works out for me. i really only need the horns to get a bit more aero when i'm battling headwinds on the lakeshore path, so maybe having the levers on the flats instead of the horns won't be a big deal.

yeah, some parts are salvageable, but the frame and wheel set are dead, along with the saddle and seat post. the Forte SPD/platform dual sided pedals will be going on my new bike straightaway.
