Your requests sound very reasonable to me. You would never be treated like that in our shop. If you bought new tubes, they would come with nuts and caps. There is no excuse to not have them installed.
If you walked in off the street and wanted to use a pump, we would offer to do it for you. To hand you a pump and expect you to pump your own tires after a repair, after a couple of days or even longer, is inexcusable. I might say that I will be with you in a minute, if I was helping another customer, but as soon as I was done with them, make sure you are taken care of.
If you told us you were going out of town, when you planned on returning would be put on the ticket. That way if it was sitting for a few days, everyone would know why. I do hate when we fix a bike and it just sits there. I had a customer call last Friday late in the day to check if their bike was done. It had been there for about 3 days and we hadn't got to it yet, business has been good. I told here I would do it first thing in the morning so it would be ready for pick-up by noon. I then ended up completing it Fri. evening. I called and left a message that it was done so she could come before noon if she wanted. It has been a week and the bike is still here. That bugs me, but when she comes in, she will be treated much better then you were treated.
