That's a good idea about the pictures thank you Ultraman. I will wait and see what this Mongolian mechanic says first. If he knows what to do then i will leave it in his hands as i wouldn't want to try doing anything other than simple repairs.

I'm relieved to hear that parts are available. I hope they don't cost too much.

The mechanics that i showed this to looked at this bike like i'd brought in a sick dodo. They were dubious about getting parts but you all seem to know a lot more than they do. I'm worried about the cost of this though. I may ask if getting a conventional /derailler system would be better/cheaper.
