Regarding NYC. Been there more than a few times and have played tourist. Even stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to pull out my map.

Let me ask you something...do people in Texas stop their pick-up trucks in the
middle of the road when they have to review their map for something too?
Or do they pull over to the side of the road like normal people?
All things considered, I think I like my quiet rural, rolling hills where people go out of there way to wave you through intersections or let you into traffic.
